This post is for the Memers. Memeticists? People of Meme? Anyway, it’s for the sort of people who want to put together the right image with the right text at just the right moment to be selected by the Algorithmic Gods for viral success.
Put simply, MemeDeck is a tool for creating and sharing memes. Meme Deck lets you store and organize your memes for easy retrieval and deployment on social media and elsewhere. Meme Deck itself also has a social element, with a global feed where the best memes are highly upvoted and top posters are highlighted in the sidebar. It includes a suite of tools for creating original memes using AI image generation coupled with character templates, text overlay, multi-pane selection, and more.
Not only individual users, but whole memecoin communities have discovered that Meme Deck is the perfect place to realize their memetic ideas.
Meme Deck recently began collaborating with the $99 Cents memecoin community. $99 Cents is inspired by–but unaffiliated with!--Arizona Iced Tea; Arizona hasn’t changed its price since the company’s inception, and that idea resonated with the crypto memelords. Like Arizona Iced Tea, $99 Cents aspires to make it to a value of…$99 cents. So, they launched their memecoin on Solana, built up an active Telegram channel, and then commissioned art for a character called Steepy Pete: an anthropomorphized Arizona Iced Tea can that causes mischief across the land.
Soon, $99 Cents realized that to continue growing, they’d need to make it easier for their community to remix and share Steepy Pete and other $99 Cents memes; luckily, Meme Deck offered the perfect opportunity for a collaboration. Meme Deck integrated Steepy Pete into their AI model, enabling the $99 Cents community to create and remix Steepy Pete effortlessly into any situation their community members could dream up for him.
The collaboration between Meme Deck and $99 Cents shows how powerful Meme Deck can be for helping memecoin communities grow. There are features like AI guidance, random selection, and multi-pane options that provide the technical foundation for great images and text. $99 Cents and Meme Deck highlight the potential of what we often call “Meme Tech”--a suite of tools for meme creation and community engagement that will only be available in one place: on Meme Deck. Other communities are starting to catch on to what Meme Deck is building and are actively onboarding now.
Remember when we mentioned that this post is for people who want to be noticed by the Algorithmic Gods? While nothing in this world is certain, there is a way to consistently win: try a bunch of stuff, see what gets traction, and iterate. Kinode empowers Meme Deck to do precisely that.
What we’re working on right now goes something like this:
This is amazing stuff, but the possibilities for backend Kinode integration are endless.
We’re going to be doing chat, badges, meme-making collaboration mode complete with shared canvas, and who-knows-what after that? Gamification? Rewards and incentives? Feedback systems? WE WILL NOT STOP.
Let us know what you want to see. Or better yet, let us know what you want to build.
We think you’re going to love Meme Deck. We do. And if Elon Musk’s endorsement is any indication, it works.
To get the full Meme Deck experience, pretty soon you’re also going to need a Kinode. Sign up for our hosting waitlist here. Of course, you could always set up a node on your own by checking out our developer docs. If you need help or just want to talk to us, join us on Discord: we build in public and we want to help you build too.
We can’t wait to see the memes you make, and we can’t wait to see you on Kinode.
